Hastelloy C-276 Fasteners

Hastelloy C-276 is a very popular alloy for us for the reason that it is highly anticorrosive in a broad range of enveronments.  Thunder Threads™ stocks an immense inventory of hastelloy c726 bolts and fasteners.  Hastelloy C-276 fasteners are made from a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is an improved wrought version of alloy C.  We are known for stocking hastelloy c-276 bolts, nuts, screws, washers, studs, socket head cap screws, and many other fasteners for prompt shipment.

Hastelloy C-276 and the rest of the hastelloy family has outstanding resistance to corrosion and to both oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Due to adaptability, hastelloy C-276 alloy can be applied in problem zones are more probable to occure in process zones.  Hastelloy 276 bolts and fasteners are suitable for most chemical applications in the as-welded condition. However, it should be noted that in environments where attack of the C-276 alloy weld joint is experienced, C-22 weld filler materials should be considered.

What has made the alloy popular is that hastelloy C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions. It is often used in flue gas desulfurization systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encountered in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress-corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that with stands the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.

Hastelloy can be fabricated by a variety of Methods
. HASTELLOY C-276 alloy can be forged, hot-upset, and impact extruded. Although the alloy tends to work-harden, it can also be successfully deep-drawn, spun, press formed or punched.

Other hastelloy fastener alloys such as hastelloy c-4, hastelloy g fasteners, and hastelloy x fasteners, may be a better fit for your application.  Our sales associates are able to provide you with reference materials that may help you with the selection of your hastelloy fasteners

Being that we specialize in hard to find exotic alloy fasteners, we are capable of meeting your businesses immediate demands regardless if it is Hastelloy or a different alloy.  We ask you to allow Thunder Threads™ to gain your trust to handle all of your fastening needs.
