Thunder Threads™ is known throughout the fastener world for its immense stock of fasteners in specialty alloys. Such is true for 904L, is a non-stabilized low carbon "high alloy” austenitic stainless steel. Copper is a primary component of this alloy which gives it greatly improved resistance to strong reducing acids, especially sulphuric acid. 904L is also highly resistant to corrosion caused by chlorides.

AL-6XN alloy is a super-austenitic alloy that was developed to resist crevice corrosion, pitting, chloride-induced corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. AL-6XN fastners can be made into custom parts including bolts, screws, nuts, washers, studs, and socket head cap screws because they are highly resistanct against alkaline and salt solutions.

Alloy 20 is considered a nickel-chromium-molybdenum stainless steel alloy which has a wide variety of uses within the sulfuric acid industry. Nitronic alloy 60 is a type of Austentic Stainless that has been Annealed and provides excellent corrosion resistance. Thunder Threads™ offers Nitronic 60 fasteners (also known as alloy 60 fasteners) in a wide variety of applications. In addition to custom "to print” fasteners, our stock include nitronic alloy 60 hex bolts, nuts, flat washers and stud bolts.
Avesta 2205 fasteners are available by Thunder Threads™. Avesta 2205 is a Duplex Stainless comprised of Ferritic & Austenitic properties that can be fabricated into many types of fasteners. Avesta 2205 has a better resistance to corrosion than 316 and is also very resistant to chloride cracking and stress coused from chloride.

Avesta Sheffield 254 SMO® also known by its UNS S31254 is an austenitic stainless steel that can be made into Avesta Sheffield 254 SMO fasteners. This alloy is used in the fastener industry due to its excellent corrosion resistance to saltwater and acid halides.
Carpenter 20 fasteners is a brand name of a material that is also referred to by many as Alloy 20. This alloy is considered a nickel-chromium-molybdenum stainless steel that has a large number of applications throughout the acid manufacaturing world. Carpenter 20 fasteners are highly resistent to pitting and corrosion and pitting caused by chlorides.
Carpenter 21 Fasteners which is an austenitic nitrogen, chrome-nickel alloy, that yields high strengths under high temperature and extreme environments.

Considered a cobalt-chromium alloy, Haynes Ultimet 1233 offers excellent corrosion resistance when compared to the Hastelloy family of alloys. In addition Ulitmet fasteners have a very high tensile strength when compared to the duplex stainless steel fasteners familys. It is for this reason Haynes Ultimet fasteners are used in many blender, extruder, and valve applications.

Haynes HR-120 fasteners are widely used in high temperature environments (ex. nitronic 60 is an austentic alloy originaly engineered as a high temperature alloy. Nitronic 60 resists oxidation similar to 309 stainless steel, which is far superior to the conventional 304 stainless steel. Nitronic 60 has been acclaimed for its ability to resist galling.
Tantalum fasteners are manufactured from a plating process that involves the acid etching of the outer layer of a standard alloy fastener. The parts are then plated in a reactor by the element tantalum for the use in corrosive environment. This technique was originated for the use of less costly fasteners in environments that would typically require your higher cost high nickel alloy fasteners.
